Large bore cylinder, on cylinder retract stroke, rod end of piston pushes almost twice as much flow from cylinder base end. If jaw opening (cylinder retract) mode flow is set at 70GPM, 140GPM is pushed back to the carrier via main control valve spool. This results in high pressure drop and heat generation.
MDV2020B is pilot operated high capacity diverter valve that selects fluid from P to A or B. On jaw closing mode, normal bi-directional mode, cylinder base is connected to machine’s main control valve. However, during jaw opening mode, fluid from cylinder base will be dumped directly to tank. This reduce pressure drop and heat significantly.
Combined with manual dieter valve, a machine can be utilized for B (breaker) mode and P (pulverizer) mode.
